A very interesting point and an interesting discussion. Stock Markets tend to try and predict future profits from companies and so surely this must have a reliance on the health of the economy. Mark Mobius’ point though is also fair, just because an economy is doing well today doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s stock market will do well tomorrow.
